Job Description: Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) Job Title: SEND Teacher Location: Sunderland Contract Type: Long Term Temporary / Potential Permanent A SEND school in Sunderland is seeking a SEND Teacher to join their warm, dedicated and highly specialised school community. The school is a designated provision for learners aged 11–19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). They provides exceptional facilities including a therapy pool, sensory room, ICT suite, hygiene suites with hoists, accessible classrooms, extensive outdoor grounds, and specialist equipment to promote mobility and independence. You will be joining a skilled multi-disciplinary team including a full-time nurse, physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, speech therapist and visiting medical professionals. We work collaboratively to meet the full range of care, learning and welfare needs of our pupils. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with young people with complex needs and committed to delivering personalised, engaging and meaningful learning experiences. The normal working pattern is Monday–Friday.
