We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home. This role involves both hands-on care and leadership responsibilities, ensuring that residents receive person-centred support in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.
* Deliver personal care and support to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, and meals
* Administer medication in accordance with care plans and regulatory guidelines
* Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support
* Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior management or healthcare professionals
* Maintain accurate records of care, medication, and incidents
* Promote dignity, independence, and choice for all residents
* Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
* Assist with admissions, assessments, and family liaison as needed
* Uphold safeguarding standards and contribute to a positive care culture
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or working towards.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a care setting, ideally with supervisory duties
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lead by example and motivate a team
* Understanding of CQC standards and care home regulations
* Medication administration training (preferred)
