We are recruiting an Administrator to join our Workflow and Summarising Team based at Shoreham Health Centre, working 18 to 22.5 hours per week. Experience in a health care setting and medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
As a Workflow & Summarising Administrator you will be responsible for the Summarising and coding of relevant information into the patient's electronic health care records on the EMIS clinical system, adhering to the practice coding policy. In addition, the post-holder will also support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the practice.
The following are the core responsibilities of the Workflow Administrator.
· Accurately coding data on EMIS Web clinical system and the Docman system into the patient record
· Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, coding appropriately and completing any detailed action.
· Review records and accurately produce a summary of a patient's medical history
· Review progress of summarising, ensuring partnership targets are achieved
· Review all clinical letters ensuring they are processed appropriately, in line with protocols
· File and store records as required
· Photocopy documentation as required
· Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient's healthcare records
· Action all incoming emails and mail in a timely manner
· Input data into the patient's healthcare records as necessary
· Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
· Identify the complex or higher risk area that require input or knowledge from the clinical team, including safeguarding issues
