Hours: 14 Hours per Week, 39 weeks (term-time plus inset days)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: NJC Scale 6, spinal point 18 £11,864.79 (actual contracted hours per annum)

Location: Strathmore School, Hampton High campus

Due to the opening of our new campus in Hampton, we are seeking a part-time Therapy Assistant to work alongside our team of experienced Occupational Therapists and as part of our wider multidisciplinary team across the Trust.

The Auriga Academy Trust comprises 3 high-achieving specialist schools catering to children with Special Educational Needs in the London Borough of Richmond. This position is available in:

Strathmore School, a happy, thriving, oversubscribed, and growing special school for children and young people aged 4 -19 with severe and complex learning difficulties, including those with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory disabilities. Strathmore is based across four campuses in Twickenham and Richmond. This role is based at our Hampton High campus, which is due to open in September 2026.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and flexible candidate who can work collaboratively and actively help shape the growing therapy service. The contract is offered on a term-time basis, working 39 weeks per year, 14 hours per week.

The Therapy Assistant will work under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist and the Campus lead, with all pupils assigned within Strathmore school.

The role includes carrying out tasks related to the Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy caseloads, including simple administrative tasks and the preparation of materials, in addition to planning and delivering programmes (under Therapist guidance).
