How You Will Make An Impact:
Support and deputise for the Head of HSE, including attending meetings and making decisions in alignment with Global HSE guidance.
Monitor and review HSE policies, practices, and compliance to ensure alignment with local regulations and STADA Global HSE SOPs.
Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures for Manual Handling, Ergonomics, and Occupational Hygiene (e.g. air monitoring, noise, HAVS).
Develop and deliver HSE training (including e-learning), and maintain accurate training records for certifications like FLT, First Aid, and Fire Warden.
Promote a strong HSE culture through awareness, coaching, and observation of safe practices.
Coordinate and manage site Health & Safety meetings, ensuring agendas, actions, and minutes are completed effectively.
Generate and analyse HSE performance reports and KPIs for continuous improvement.
Support sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Procurement and assist related efforts at the Natures Aid site in Kirkham, Preston.
What We Are Looking For:
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification required; NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum.
Minimum 3 years of practical HSE experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or pharmaceuticals.
Commitment to obtain or already hold an IEMA Certificate in Environment or Sustainability.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support teams to meet HSE objectives and legal requirements.
Good understanding of COSHH and experience applying its principles in the workplace.
Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards and their implementation.
Experience in delivering HSE training, coaching, and mentoring.
GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with intermediate IT proficiency.
