Role Profile Function – Hygiene Title – Domestic Hygiene Operative Working Pattern - 3on 3off, 22:00 - 06:00 Job Statement The Domestic Hygiene Operative will ensure that Pukka Pies communal areas are kept to the highest of standards supporting a safe, clean, and compliant environment in line with food safety regulations and company policies. Task Toilet & Washroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect all toilet areas, including sinks, urinals, cubicles, mirrors, and floors Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and hand towels Ensure washrooms are checked and maintained throughout the shift Communal Area Cleaning: Clean staff break rooms, locker rooms, corridors, and stairwells Empty bins and replace liners regularly Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures General Hygiene Duties: Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the FLM Hygiene Standards & Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with Pukka Pies’ hygiene protocols Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices Always wear appropriate PPE and follow site-specific hygiene rules Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively with other hygiene and production staff Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding tasks and issues Participate in training and development sessions as required Skill Previous experience in domestic or industrial cleaning (preferably in a food production environment) Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment Understanding of hygiene and safety standards Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Behaviour Lead and promote positive behaviours and attitudes in line with the “Pukka Values” Effectively communication Awareness of self and others Objective, rational, calm and active listener Ability to build relationships, motivate, coach, develop and drive a team Good planning and organisational skills Embraces departmental and business changes and positively contributes to these changes where required
