This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students and foster a love for literature, language, and creative expression. As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and structured lessons, equipping students with essential skills in communication, critical analysis, and written expression. While prior experience is preferred, professional development opportunities will be available. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum. Teach literature, language, and writing skills at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Inspire students to think critically, articulate their ideas, and engage with a variety of texts. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and develop innovative teaching strategies. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independent learning. Prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations. Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all students. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong knowledge of the English curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level standards. Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is preferred. A passion for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
