In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing personalised support and guidance to students, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they require to reach their full academic and personal potential. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored strategies that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your role will involve providing in-class support, facilitating small-group activities, and delivering one-on-one interventions to address academic, social, and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
* Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, adapting your approach to ensure their academic, social, and emotional success
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored strategies that address each student's unique requirements
* Facilitate small-group activities and deliver one-on-one interventions to help students overcome challenges and achieve their goals
* Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate regularly with parents and carers to ensure a holistic approach to student development
* Assist with the preparation of learning materials, resources, and the general organisation of the classroom environment
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest teaching methodologies and best practices in the field of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
* Contribute to the creation of an inclusive, welcoming, and nurturing learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or a related field
* Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs, such as those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
* Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
* Proficiency in using technology, including educational software and assistive technologies, to support student learning
* A genuine passion for education and a commitment to promoting the well-being and academic success of all students
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop innovative strategies that address individual student needs
