Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing timely quality support for new products, processes, and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
2. Leading and supporting quality improvement projects focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, and operational excellence.
3. Using advanced problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis) to resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
4. Interfacing with customers and suppliers to manage complaints, conduct audits, host Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and resolve quality issues.
5. Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), performing internal audits, and ensuring compliance with standards.
6. Preparing quality performance reports and using analytical tools to assess process capability and product quality.
7. Collaborating with assembly teams, providing quality-related training, and supporting teams in meeting cost, quality, and delivery goals.
Your ideal background:
* Good standard of mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering knowledge
* Demonstrable experience within a quality role
* Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
* Degree (HNC) in an engineering or quality discipline (desirable)
* Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
* Auditing qualification or experience
* Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015
* Understanding of Lean methodologies
