Technical Support Officer - The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Officer to join Rushcliffe Borough Council, supporting day-to-day operations at the Streetwise depot in Bingham. This is a varied role which will support work schedules, health and safety, risk assessments, work packs, as well as car park operations and income monitoring.
You will be based at our Bingham depot and will work closely with your team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver the Streetwise service to residents and partners by ensuring resources, including staff (including agency supply) and vehicles, are available and fully utilized.
2. Help contribute to the growth of Streetwise by identifying new business opportunities and building on existing partnerships.
3. Liaise closely with Team Leaders and Coordinators in developing and reviewing risk assessments across Streetwise functions.
4. Actively promote a positive health and safety culture across the service, embedding it in daily working practices.
5. Participate in and contribute to the Streetwise Management Team working in conjunction with the Streetwise Manager.
6. Conduct regular site visits to oversee and ensure quality of work, compliance, and safe systems of work.
You - The Candidate:
* Experience in health and safety, e.g., risk assessments and safe systems of work.
* Experience of customer service, handling service requests, queries, and complaints.
* Willing to work towards relevant qualifications, e.g., Health & Safety.
* Relevant knowledge of health and safety within the specific area of work, and a champion for best practices, especially as digital improvements are implemented.
* Competent in hazard identification and risk control.
* Understanding of data protection principles, including GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
