We have a brand-new opportunity for a bright, driven, customer focussed professional to join our Hybrid Cloud 'Delivery' team, and work alongside our Enterprise Data Engineering consultants to accelerate and drive data engineering opportunities.
The Advisory and Professional Services (A&PS) delivery team within HPE Professional Services Delivery (PSD) is responsible for bringing thought-leadership, industry know-how and technical excellence to consultative engagements. Helping customers to reap maximum business benefit from their technical investments, leveraging best in class HPE and Partner technologies to create relevant and effective business-valued technical solutions.
As a Technology Consultant, you will be responsible for:
Working onsite as part of a team supporting the detailed development and implementation of scalable clustered Big Data solutions, with a specific focus on automated dynamic scaling, self-healing systems.
To excel in this role, you will need to have:
Experience working in the Public Sector
An organised and methodical approach
Excellent time keeping and task prioritisation skills
An ability to provide clear and concise updates
An ability to convey technical concepts to all levels of audience
Experience of working in hybrid environments with both classical and DevOps
Excellent written & spoken English skills
The Following Technical Skills & Experience Would Be Desirable
Knowledge of Linux operating system administration and implementation
Broad understanding of the containerisation domain adjacent technologies/services, such as: Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes etc.
Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments
Familiarity with code development, shell-scripting in Python, Bash etc.
Knowledge of Cloud Security
Work independently and/or within a team using a DevOps way of working.
Experienced in being able to act as bridge from the infrastructure through to user facing systems.
Experienced in the use of Automation tools e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Foreman, Puppet and Python.
Proactive Prerequisite Role Restrictions
Must hold National Security Clearance Level 04 Developed Vetting (DV) - UKIC
We are looking for high achievers who are eligible to work in the UK.
The role will be based on the client site; there is no remote or hybrid work
