Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing services to children and families to improve outcomes for all children.
* Planning, delivering, and evaluating work with children and parents, both in groups and individually, in a stimulating and caring environment that promotes overall development.
* Offering practical parenting support through home visits and outreach work, and conducting direct work with children and families on issues identified by agencies, using recognized parenting programmes.
* Setting individual targets and intervention programmes based on assessments, providing support and advice within home visits or group settings.
* Collaborating with parents, families, and other professionals to support and encourage parents in overcoming difficulties.
* Delivering approved parenting support programmes.
* Maintaining confidentiality in accordance with Havering’s policies and procedures.
* Managing a caseload of complex and non-complex cases and attending court to provide case information as required, depending on competence and experience.
Requirements:
* A relevant qualification in childcare, education, health, or social care.
* Minimum of 2 years experience working with young children and families.
* Experience in preparing reports and assessments related to children, including court presentations.
* Experience in working with families on practical parenting tasks and delivering parenting programmes.
* Qualification in First Aid or willingness to obtain it.
* Ability to travel between Local Authority sites within the London Borough of Havering.
* Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months. Consider joining the update service for faster processing.
