Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join the team in Caldicot, you must be a Registered General Nurse the salary is up to £50,000 depending on experince.
You will support the team in providing exceptional care and support within the home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, including experience in assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice care. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care are maintained.
Responsibilities
Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Supervise and support staff members, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
Provide direct patient care as needed, including medication administration and case management.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, particularly for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Monitor the quality of care provided, ensuring that all residents receive compassionate and respectful treatment.
Coordinate with families and external agencies to facilitate effective communication regarding resident care.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition.
Skills
Strong background in senior care, including assisted living, nursing home experience, hospice care, and dementia care.
Proven team management skills with experience supervising staff in a healthcare setting.
Excellent patient care abilities with knowledge of anatomy and medication administration.
