Main duties of the job
To be responsible for leading, managing, and delivering the specialist pharmacy service of oncology.
To provide advice and support to consultants, other clinicians, and patients, ensuring the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
To advise the hospital and its departments on the safe management of medicines, ensuring compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
To promote a multidisciplinary, patient-focused approach to the delivery of an efficient, high-quality healthcare service.

Spire Hartswood Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an Oncology Pharmacist to join the bank team. Responsibilities include:
* Providing an exemplary pharmacy service in accordance with legislation, standards, and clinical requirements.
* Leading, managing, and delivering the specialist pharmacy service of oncology.
* Offering advice and support to clinicians and patients for safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medicine use.
* Ensuring compliance with legislation and standards in medicine management.
* Promoting a multidisciplinary, patient-centered healthcare approach.
Person specification
* Degree (BSc/MSc Hons)
* Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Experience in applying clinical reasoning to complex patient cases
* Experience working in a pharmacy
* Diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience, especially in oncology
* Knowledge across pharmaceutical subjects supported by clinical practice experience
* Experience in an independent hospital pharmacy setting
* Experience with cytotoxic medicines and chemotherapy preparation
