Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead end-to-end finance operations, including transactional processes, month-end close, and preparation of Accounts Packs for monthly Board meetings.
2. Oversee statutory reporting, compliance, risk, and audit requirements across the business.
3. Manage the Finance Team, consisting of one Purchase Ledger Clerk, one Credit Controller, and one Assistant Accountant.
4. Assist in producing annual budgets and weekly profitability and cash flow forecasts.
5. Implement and maintain monthly balance sheet reviews, including reconciliation completion.
6. Own the integration process between the proposed new DMS and Financial accounts system, and assist with implementing improved, real-time financial reporting methods to support business decision-making.
7. Collaborate with the wider management team to increase profitability and ensure control of working capital.
8. Participate in the management team, providing data and business information as needed for decision-making.
Candidate Requirements:
* ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification, or qualified by experience.
* Experience working with large quantities of data.
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Experience in managing people, including remote workers.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience using an accounting system separate from the DMS.
* Experience implementing new IT and/or accounting systems.
* Experience with PowerBI or similar reporting tools.
