The Role
Colonel Malone’s Bar & Restaurant in Stratford is on the hunt for an experienced Head Chef to take charge of our busy kitchen. We’re a well-established local favourite, known for our warm hospitality, great food, and friendly tavern atmosphere.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from menu development and food quality to managing a small, dedicated team.
What You’ll Do
Lead and motivate the kitchen team, setting high standards in food quality and presentation
Create and deliver seasonal menus that showcase fresh, local ingredients
Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant kitchen environment
Work closely with management to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
About You
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a busy kitchen
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and inspire others
A passion for producing high-quality, consistent dishes
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Understanding of food costings, ordering systems, and kitchen operations
