HVAC&R Design Engineer
(Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration)
Nottinghamshire | Full time | NG9
We’re working with a market‑leading manufacturer and looking for an HVAC&R Design Engineer to support and develop their growing product range.
HVAC&R Design Engineer - Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop refrigeration systems and teaching apparatus
2. Produce 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
3. Perform thermodynamic calculations and system simulations
4. Select components: compressors, heat exchangers, expansion devices, refrigerants
5. Build and test prototypes, analysing performance and efficiency
6. Ensure compliance with PED, CE marking and safety standards
HVAC&R Design Engineer - The Candidate
7. Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and thermodynamics
8. Experience in HVAC&R or thermofluid system design
9. Knowledge of heat transfer and fluid flow
10. Hands‑on engineering approach with product development experience
