Associate / Associate Director (Infrastructure Planning)

PropSource Consulting are working with a leading national planning consultancy to appoint an Associate or Associate Director to support the continued growth of their infrastructure planning offer across the North of England. This role would suit an ambitious Associate ready to step up, or an established Associate Director seeking a platform to broaden their regional and national profile.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of major energy and infrastructure projects while developing your leadership profile within a highly established national team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Supporting the growth of the regional infrastructure planning team (Manchester / Leeds based considered, with plans to expand)
* Managing a portfolio of clients and projects across renewables, energy storage, hydrogen, carbon capture, water, waste, ports, and transport
* Leading on major planning applications and infrastructure consents
* Supporting business development initiatives and strengthening client relationships across the north and beyond
* Collaborating with colleagues across multiple disciplines to ensure joined-up advice for complex projects
* Mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
We are seeking an experienced planner with:
* A strong track record in energy and infrastructure projects, ideally including major consents (DCO / NSIP / TWAO)
* Experience managing projects and client relationships
* Leadership capability, with mentoring experience and an interest in team growth
* RTPI membership (or equivalent) and in-depth knowledge of planning processes
* Commercial awareness and business development skills
* A collaborative, hands-on approach with the confidence to lead significant projects
* Willingness to travel across the UK as part of a national team
