About the role
We are working with a leading FMCG manufacturer in Oxfordshire who is looking for an automation/controls engineer to join their team. This role will be key to the development and growth on the site and help aid CI projects on their current processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Program, maintain, and optimise PLCs
* Develop and troubleshoot industrial robot programs
* CI - Improve cycle times, reduce waste, and boost system reliability through program updates.
* Lead automation improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
* Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
* Create and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, schematics)
* Train production and maintenance staff on automation
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Requirements
* Experience in automation engineering across manufacturing or industrial environments.
* Experience in PLC and/or robotic programming
* Strong electrical systems knowledge.
* Proven track record of process improvement and technical support.
* Competent in producing and managing technical documentation.
