Level 3 Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – Warrington
Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)
Salary: Pay-to-Scale, dependent on experience and qualifications
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Warrington area who are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring, proactive, and experienced practitioner to make a genuine impact on a child’s learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, ensuring their academic, emotional, and social needs are met.
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider support staff to adapt resources and learning approaches.
* Encourage independence, engagement, and positive behaviour through consistent support and encouragement.
* Promote inclusion by supporting the pupil’s participation in classroom learning and school life.
* Maintain clear records of progress, attendance, and wellbeing as required.
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent relevant experience).
* A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel).
* Proven experience supporting children with SEN or additional learning needs, ideally in a primary setting.
* Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
* A calm, patient, and flexible approach with a passion for helping children achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
