The Role
Sofina Foods is hiring a Senior National Account Manager to take the lead on one of our largest and most strategic retail accounts. Based in Malton, North Yorkshire, this role offers high visibility, real impact, and the chance to shape growth within a complex, high-performing pork category team.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a commercial leader with deep experience managing major UK grocery retail accounts, ideally within food, fresh produce, or chilled categories. You'll thrive in complexity, enjoy autonomy, and bring a sharp strategic and analytical mindset.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience leading large-scale retail accounts in FMCG or food.
* Proven experience as a national account manager, with a track record of handling high-value, strategic accounts.
* Strong understanding of short shelf-life trading environments.
* JBP ownership, forecasting expertise, and data-driven decision making.
* A confident communicator who can lead internal teams and influence senior stakeholders.
* People leadership-mentoring or managing junior account talent.

Your Key Responsibilities
You'll be the primary voice of the customer internally, developing strong cross-functional relationships, owning joint business planning, and driving delivery in a fast-paced, short shelf-life environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and grow a priority strategic retail partnership, representing a significant portion of our UK business.
* Own and execute joint business plans aligned to growth, sustainability, and supply chain performance.
* Provide day-to-day leadership across the account-mentoring National Account Managers and Executives.
* Drive forecasting, promotions, cost control, and contract negotiation with pace and precision.
* Collaborate with operations, logistics, and supply chain to ensure right-first-time product delivery.
* Monitor and analyse performance data to drive insight-led decisions and unlock new opportunities.
* Influence internally and externally; be the face of the customer across the Sofina business.
