Payroll Manager

We are searching for an experienced Payroll Manager.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

RSM UK Management Limited provides in-house payroll services for the RSM UK Group. Using Workday’s UK Payroll and other payroll software, we are responsible for internal payrolls currently totaling over 5,000 employees.

This is a pivotal role reporting to the National Finance Leadership team, accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the delivery of premium service to our stakeholders now and into the future.

You’ll make an impact by:

1. Aligning payroll operations with the broader organisational goals. Focusing on optimizing processes, leveraging data for decision-making, and proactively responding to compliance and risk management requirements.
2. Building strong and enduring relationships with stakeholders, prioritising workloads, managing expectations, leveraging digital innovation, embracing technological advances, and actively solving problems to ensure success in the short, medium, and long term.
3. Overseeing payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly and annual payrolls in accordance with tax and regulatory frameworks.
4. Providing regular data-led reporting covering performance indicators, project updates, and statutory, tax, and compliance reporting.

What we are looking for:

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

1. 3+ years of experience managing a payroll team.
2. Working knowledge of Workday payroll software.
3. Superior stakeholder management skills, able to prioritise and manage deadlines, and communicate clearly to manage expectations.
4. Detailed practical knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations, including workplace pensions.
5. Experience dealing with high-volume payrolls.
6. Professional payroll qualifications or demonstrable experience.
7. A thorough understanding of technical, legislative, and regulatory payroll matters.
