A leading global engineering business is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its specialist equipment team based in Glasgow. The company works on a wide range of complex engineering projects, supporting the development, improvement, and maintenance of rotating equipment and systems used in sectors like energy, water, and industrial processing.
This is a full-time hybrid role, offering a mix of office/site and remote work, and the chance to work on technically varied and meaningful engineering challenges.
Skills & Experience Required
* Design rotating equipment and support structures such as skids and base plates
* Assist with testing on-site
* Support site investigations and maintenance-related engineering queries
* Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation (SolidWorks)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world engineering problems
* Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
* Understanding of design for manufacture
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset and collaborative attitude
* Comfortable working on a variety of engineering tasks and challenges
