The job itself
Lady in her early 40's with a long term brain injury requires a support worker to assist with everyday issues and household tasks. Requires prompts to deal with correspondence and help with finances etc. This lady has 4 children and requires support to maintain a parenting role, allowing her to complete tasks involved. She requires someone who is able to form a good relationship with her and gain her trust.
This lady has no mobility problems and does not have personal care needs. She can be forgetful due to the brain injury but does have capacity and wants to care for her children. She requires support with household duties and light domestic duties. Such as putting washing away, cleaning the kitchen after use, supporting her to keep her home tidy and safe. Occasional handy work will be required to do odd jobs around the home such as changing light bulbs, putting together furniture and reporting repairs.
Applicant must be trustworthy, reliable and flexible.
Breakdown of hours:
14 hours per week - to support all children AM (1hrs) & PM (1hr) to maintain personal cares/nutrition and hygiene
2 hours per week Domestic tasks/laundry
1 hr per week shopping
1.5 hrs per week - Mon to Fri to collect/drop off children at school.
= 18.5 hrs per week
Additionally
10 hrs per week x 13 week (School Holidays)
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
