We're hiring a Planning Consultant who can combine technical precision with pace. You'll own applications end-to-end, drive cases forward, and make a visible impact for our clients.
What you'll do
* Lead from the front: manage your own caseload of 15+ applications a month across pre-apps, PD and full applications, statements, conditions, appeals, committee representation and site work.
* Keep momentum: move cases quickly through the system, removing blockers and hitting deadlines.
* Drive compliance: use our CRM to track every application from enquiry to decision and invoice—accuracy and accountability are non-negotiable.
* Represent with confidence: be the trusted voice with clients, councils and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with strength: work with the wider team, supporting our standards and contributing to growth.
What you bring
* Proven experience in rural planning (RTPI, RICS or similar qualifications).
* A compliance-first mindset matched with the drive to deliver results.
* Organised and accountable—you build order, hit targets, and follow through.
* Commercial judgement—you spot opportunities, manage risk, and know how to keep work profitable.
* Typically 3-5+ years' experience as a planning consultant or rural professional.
