Job Title Accounts Assistant Department Project Finance Location Manchester Background to Equitix Management Services Equitix Management Services provides financial, operational and construction management services to Special Purpose Vehicles (“SPVs”) throughout the Infrastructure and Public Private Partnership industries. Established in October 2014 by six core members of an independent team, EMS has experienced significant growth in project contract numbers and employees. There are over 210 contracts under management, with services delivered by a multi-disciplined team of around 199 people, generating turnover in the region of £25m per annum The head office is in London, with regional offices in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, and Dublin, and an expanding subsidiary business in Italy. Key Responsibilities The accounts assistant has the opportunity to obtain a professional qualification whilst working at Equitix Management Services Ltd, during which you will work in an exciting, challenging and dynamic environment. You will be given the opportunity to develop technical and interpersonal skills, communicate with various stakeholders, develop an analytical mindset, and think proactively and strategically. Your responsibilities will initially involve accounts payable and receivable, cash, debt and treasury management, company secretarial, management and statutory accounts reporting and HMRC compliance. During your employment, you will progress towards managing your own portfolio of project companies, including financial management, oversight of junior staff, financial modelling and presentation of project financial performance at quarterly board meetings. Desired Skills and Experience At least 6 month’s work experience in a similar position GCSE Mathematics and English at grade B (or 6) A-Levels: min 300 UCAS points pre-2017 or 120 UCAS points post-2017 Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships within the finance team and with the various internal and external stakeholders Experience in using Microsoft Office Programmes Exceptional organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude, including time management skills A proactive attitude approach to tasks Personal Skills Strong organisation skills Time management skills Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Attention to detail.
