Job Summary
Belmont House Devon Ltd is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person to join our great team of staff. We care for up to 21 elderly folks, with a range of physical needs including some with varying levels of dementia. We are looking for someone to join our team who has patience, compassion and a desire to look after elderly clients within a care setting. Belmont House Devon Ltd is NOT registered to accept applicants who require sponsorship.
Duties and Responsibilities.
* Hours of work are 20.00 to 08.00 with alternating weeks of;
Week one - Friday/Saturday/Sunday
Week two - Tuesday/ Wednesday/Thursday - expected to arrive ready for handover from day staff, before the start of your shift.
* Medication training is beneficial to the post, however training can be given.
* Assisting clients in preparing for a good nights sleep.
* Checking clients throughout the night and assisting with some personal care.
* Ensure that all care given is documented within the digital care system. Full training will be given.
* Handing over the night report to day staff before 08.00.
Skills and Experience.
* Experience in caring for the elderly or in a similar setting is beneficial but not essential as full training and support will be given.
* A qualification in Health and Social Care would benefit the applicant for this position. Full training will be provided to achieve your goals and enhance your career.
* Good communication skills and team work.
* An understanding or experience in digital documentation is beneficial, however full training will be given on our simplistic care system.
* A clear DBS is essential for this post, payable by the applicant
* Night Shifts covered over contracted hours are paid at a plus rate of £16.00 per hour.
