We’re working with a fantastic specialist school in Maidenhead who are looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. The school caters for pupils with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism, communication difficulties and moderate to severe learning difficulties. They offer a supportive, inclusive environment and have a strong focus on helping every child thrive through personalised learning and care. This is a long-term role where you’ll be working closely with children who need additional support in the classroom. You’ll be part of a warm, experienced team and will play a vital role in helping pupils to engage with learning and build independence. No two days are the same, but your impact will be consistent and meaningful. This school is ideal for someone looking to build SEN experience and really get stuck in. Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs Helping pupils with classwork, communication, and social skills Assisting with personal care when required (training provided) Supporting the teacher with behaviour management and classroom activities Creating a safe, calm and encouraging learning environment Requirements: Experience working with children or young people (in any setting) A calm, patient and nurturing approach Willingness to support pupils with a range of complex needs Genuine interest in SEN education – personal or professional experience is a bonus Must have the Right to Work in the UK At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
