Escape is working with an established manufacturing business in Fife who are looking to appoint an experienced Purchasing Manager. This is a key role and the Purchasing Manager will ensure materials are available to meet production demands. Responsibilities of the role: Leading and mentor a small purchasing team Working with planning and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels Processing purchase orders and ensuring materials are available for production Maintaining accurate MRP data - pricing and inventory levels Build strong supplier relationships to protect lead times and minimise supply disruption Driving continuous improvement across procurement processes Ensuring compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards and regulatory requirementsKnowledge and experience required for the role: Solid purchasing experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience in managing successful teams Experienced in using MRP systems Solid understanding of BOMs, inventory management and forecasting Strong problem-solving skills Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and Suppliers A proactive, hands-on approach with a track record of improving procIf you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please send your CV today...
