Automotive Assembler
Location : Banbury
Contract : Permanent, Full:time
Salary A GBP 28,000 per annum, increasing to A GBP 31.600 per annum after a successful probationary period
Hours : Monday to Friday : no weekends
The Automotive Assembler will be responsible for the assembly and sub:assembly of bespoke vehicle interiors, ensuring all components are fitted to a high standard. Working across multiple build stages, the Automotive Assembler will focus on precision assembly, quality finishes, and supporting the overall build process. The Assembly Operative will play a key role in delivering high:quality vehicles by ensuring all assemblies meet specifications and are completed efficiently. This position requires strong attention to detail, hands:on skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Role and Responsibilities of the Automotive Assembler
* Assemble and install interior units, fixtures, and fittings to specification
* Carry out sub:assembly of components before final vehicle installation
* Work from the build instructions and technical drawings to complete assemblies accurately
* Inspect assembled components and interiors to ensure quality and fitment standards
* Carry out adjustments, refinements, and finishing tasks as required
* Support the build process across multiple stages of vehicle production
* Conduct detailed checks of completed assemblies before final installation
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment and ensure tools are kept in good condition
Requirements of the Automotive Assembler role
* Proven experience in assembly or sub:assembly within an automotive or manufacturing environment
* Strong hands:on skills with the ability to work with a variety of materials and components
* Ability to read and follow technical drawings and build instructions
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high:quality work
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
* Flexible attitude towards work and production demands
