Key facts about the role
Contract Type: Full time, permanent
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
• Free parking at the office.
• 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Following 3 years continuous service, annual leave will increase by 1 additional day per completed year of service up to a maximum of 28 days.
• 3% pension contribution when you contribute 5%.

Reports to: Head of Business Development.
Main Duties
• Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies for the Vetsure portfolio for B2C, B2B and B2B2C audiences.
• Align marketing plans with company goals, customer insights, and growth opportunities.
• Champion Vetsure’s brand positioning, purpose, and values across all channels and touchpoints.
• Identify ways to drive engagement with pet owning consumers and drive awareness of Vetsure Pet Insurance and Health Plans.
• Through a cross-functional approach, define and implement strategies to drive pet owner customer experience with a view to enhancing customer acquisition and retention.
• Design and deliver marketing strategies that support engagement with independent veterinary practices recruiting them to join our network.
• Develop compelling B2B content and campaigns to position Vetsure as a trusted partner within the independent veterinary sector for small start-up and large group practices alike.
• Work closely with Veterinary Relationship Managers to ensure marketing activity supports sales and partnership goals.
Data-led performance & market insight:
• Monitor key marketing KPIs, customer behaviour and campaign performance to inform ongoing strategy.
• Track market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Lead marketing reporting and present insights to the wider business.
Budget & team management:
• Lead, develop and inspire the marketing team, creating a culture of creativity, curiosity, and accountability.
• Manage and allocate the marketing budget effectively to maximise ROI.
• Oversee resource planning, recruitment, and professional development within the marketing team.
• Oversee all aspects of event planning and management including Think Tank, veterinary exhibitions and team events.
Brand stewardship:
• Maintain brand consistency (including tone of voice, design and key messages) across all communication channels and throughout the company.
• Engender a culture of copy-writing excellence and a zero-tolerance attitude to bland content within the marketing team.
Culture & values:
• Be a proactive ambassador for Vetsure’s culture and values internally and externally.
• Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure marketing activity reflects our customer obsessed approach.
Person specification:
• Proven experience in a Marketing Manager (or Senior Marketing role) with strong digital marketing expertise.
• Strong understanding of multi-channel marketing strategy, customer acquisition, CRM, and retention marketing.
• Experience in B2C and B2B marketing essential, ideally within veterinary, animal health or insurance.
• Skilled in digital performance marketing (SEO, PPC, paid social, content strategy, analytics, website optimisation).
• Excellent people manager, able to coach and develop a growing team.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Data-driven with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Creative thinker with hands-on delivery skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Passionate about purpose-driven marketing and creating a positive impact.
• Excellent copywriting skills.
