This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within a fast-paced laboratory and client services environment. Working closely with the Assay Services Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating assay reporting services, managing client communications, and ensuring the smooth delivery of assay operations from start to finish.This role would suit someone who enjoys administration, thrives on accuracy, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. Full training will be provided.RoleLocation: PrescotShift: Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:00)Contract: Full Time & PermanentAnnual Salary: £26,500Hours: 37.5Closing Date: Friday 22nd May 2026The Day to DayManaging assigned assay jobs from start to completionConfirming contract specifications and maintaining accurate recordsUsing LIMS and EXACT systems to update data, generate reports, invoices, pricing information, and work-in-progress updatesLiaising professionally with clients regarding sample receipts, turnaround times, and reporting updatesPerforming quality checks on reports, certificates, and documentation to ensure accuracyCoordinating with laboratory staff, overseas offices, and refineries to support efficient service deliveryManaging key client accounts and maintaining strong client relationshipsEnsuring all assay instructions and documentation are processed promptly and in line with company proceduresSupporting weekly courier checks and ensuring correct certification and invoicing documentation is dispatchedMaintaining accurate filing, reporting, and record storage in accordance with quality systemsThe EssentialsStrong organisational skills with excellent attention to detailGood communication skills, both written and verbalConfident using computer systems and databasesLiterate and numerate with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyAble to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external clientsProfessional and customer-focused approachExperience in administration or client services is advantageous, but not essentialWillingness to learn new systems and processes — full training will be providedEmployee Benefits Include:Attractive SalaryShift AllowanceLife Assurance25 days holiday, plus bank holidays6% employer pensionFree ParkingFree Staff CanteenWorking at ALSThe ALS team is a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.Our values are important to us, and shape how we work, how we treat each other and how we recognise excellence.At ALS, you’ll be supported to develop new skills and reach your full potential.
