The role: Provide financial support to senior managers and budget holders to ensure effective financial management and control. Develop business cases and service proposals through detailed costing, modelling and financial analysis. Deliver expert financial advice, identifying variances, risks and supporting corrective action. Contribute to financial planning, reporting, capital programme monitoring and statutory returns. Support budget setting, monitoring and reporting in line with financial strategy and governance requirements. Assist budget holders with financial performance management, reporting and service development options. Contribute to continuous improvement in financial processes, policies, systems and management information. The Person: As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential: CCAB qualified Accountant with 3 years' experience in financial management. Experience in budgetary control and preparation of management accounts and reports. Proven ability to develop business cases and support investment decision-making. Strong stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external partners. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office to analyse and present complex financial data.
