The Role
Vigilant Security are looking for driven individuals to join our existing team on a full-time, permanent contract. This position may suit someone who has previous experience within the industry, or anyone with the right attitude and personality looking to start a new career path.
The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team and will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operation requirements within the control room, whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism at all times.
Full training will be provided to successful candidates.
CCTV SIA license is required.
We offer a competitive rate of pay and you will be entitled to 28 days holiday per annum, including bank holidays.
Key Tasks
Understand and adhere to the strategic direction of the client.
To monitor the CCTV and security systems, ensuring that all processes are adhered to including associated reports.
Ensuring CCTV systems are utilised, the code of practice and processes are observed, and the Data Protection Act 2018 is followed to ensure electronic patrols are effective and system use is optimised.
Support the continual development of working practices and maintain an excellent knowledge of all sites.
Ensure no unauthorised persons are allowed within prohibited areas including the Control Room.
Promote clear and concise communication skills.
Provide a professional first impression whilst being responsive and detail oriented.
Be seen as a visible customer focused professional by being proactive and greet visitors where appropriate.
Ensure that the standards of presentation set by the client are always met.
Complete a full detailed handover at the end of each shift including reporting and any associated paperwork.
Ensure that all H&S policies are adhered to.
Report and maintain an accurate record of any incidents that may occur.
Schedule
Dayshift 07:00 - 19:00
Nightshift 19:00 - 07:00
Working on a four on, four off basis averaging 42 hours per week.
Must be Flexible to the needs of the business.
Skills/Experience Required
Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure and work within strict time limits.
Always maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality.
Provide support to the wider team when required.
Professional, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team player.
Ability to work independently using own initiative when required.
Consistently well presented in line with company/client standards.
IT literacy would be an advantage.
Clear, concise, confident communication and administration skills.
Clear report writing.
Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
Customer Care Awareness.
Telephone and email etiquette.
Experience in technical systems is desirable but not essential.
Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history.
