Job title: Senior Electrical Engineer Job Type: Permanent Start date: ASAP Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: competitive Location: Aldington- Hybrid available Hours of work: 37 per week Applicants must have experience of the following: - *Have a HNC in Electrical and/or Controls engineering. *Have previous experience within a similar field, leading a team of electrical engineers in a contract environment, carrying out detailed design, specification and procurement of electrical and control systems associated with material handling systems operating in onerous conditions. *Be able to demonstrate knowledge of mechanical processes and the application of process design. *Experience with assessment, design and selection of electrical distribution, control and protection schemes. *Have knowledge of current legislative requirements and standards including the IET Wiring Regulations latest edition. *Have an understanding of CE/UKCA regulations including design risk assessments. *Be able to participate and contribute to client meetings. *Have experience in value engineering processes and continuous improvement. *Have an appreciation of ATEX regulations, and effect on process design and equipment selection. Role information: The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the integrity and delivery of the electrical engineering and technical elements of work focusing on the execution of the electrical engineering tasks, ensuring the scope is well defined, controlled, understood, and aligned with the deliverables and safety requirements. Work closely with the engineers across the business (technical, process, design and project) as well as other functional managers and subcontractors to progress these deliverables and manage/ support any queries that may arise. Act as a technical point of contact with the customer to ensure that feedback is maintained to progress deliverables, clarify scope, and assist the team in identifying technical risk and responding to any queries that may arise.
