Overview
GXO is recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager to join our team in Brinklow, Milton Keynes, supporting our customer, Waitrose. As a Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the overall shift to deliver first class and professional delivery service for the contract while ensuring all Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards are maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities
* Ensure full compliance in accordance with food handling procedures (HACCP) and NSF guidelines
* Daily management of drivers, agency staff and sub-contractors on shift including managing people performance for sickness, absence, time keeping, and disciplinary/grievance investigations
* Planning resources to ensure activities on shift are achieved, the rotas for the next set period are fully prepared including agency bookings
* Ensure full O Licence compliance in relation to fleet management
What you need to succeed
* Previous Transport managerial experience in a complex, unionised environment, fast-paced warehouse environment
* Strong background in Food Service Logistics
* Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) would be an advantage
* IOSH would be an advantage
Contract details
This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7 rotating shift pattern of 06:00 till 14:00 and 14:00 till 22:00.
