About the role
Part‑time role, 26.5 hours per week.
The Activities Co‑ordinator will plan and implement activities that delight residents and support their well‑being across HC‑One's dementia, nursing, residential and specialist care homes. The role also supports the Home Manager in organising fundraising events and encourages residents to socialise more, develop new activity ideas based on their hobbies and engage the care‑home team.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organise and run activities that meet the needs and preferences of residents.
* Collaborate with the Home Manager to plan and execute fundraising events.
* Encourage residents to participate and socialise, fostering confidence and community.
* Work with the care team to ensure activities are delivered safely and effectively.
* Maintain activity records, evaluate impact, and propose improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
* Background working with vulnerable individuals, preferably with experience designing activity programmes.
* Strong planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
* Proficient in IT and able to manage resident information systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a considerate and kind approach to residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding
All staff are responsible for safeguarding. You must recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect, and know the correct action to take. Attend safeguarding training for your role and additional related training as required, and be able to seek advice, report concerns and, if needed, raise issues for escalation.
