We are looking for an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to support our Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team, based at North Middlesex Hospital, London. The client offers a full-time contract, a manageable caseload, and opportunities to develop your leadership and specialist clinical skills. The vacancy will be for an initial 3–6 months, with the potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist include:
Providing advanced occupational therapy to individuals recovering from stroke in their own homes or community settings.
Leading on functional assessments, rehab planning, and setting SMART goals in collaboration with clients and their families.
Supervising junior staff and contributing to service development initiatives.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and community nurses.
Advising on and providing specialist equipment and adaptations, and supporting discharge planning.To Be Successful:
Previous experience working as a Band 7 OT (or experienced Band 6 ready to step up) in a stroke rehab or neuro rehab setting.
Strong clinical reasoning and leadership skills.
HCPC Registration
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain this for you)
Eligibility to work in the UK
Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
