Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Architect focused on our customers and prospects from the London Market as part of our Guidewire Professional Services team. This team combines insurance expertise with software implementation skills to lead strategic transformative projects for our clients.
Responsibilities
* Act as a subject matter expert on London Market insurance, open market, delegated authority, and reinsurance.
* Set standards for requirements definition and design, ensuring compliance.
* Manage tools, techniques, and processes for configuration and requirements management.
* Conduct elaboration sessions to capture requirements beyond Guidewire InsuranceSuite, including data, reporting, analytics, forms, and integrations.
* Define and validate complex requirements leveraging Guidewire products to meet business objectives.
* Master Guidewire application functionalities to serve as a customer-facing professional services consultant.
* Provide guidance on leveraging Guidewire applications to meet strategic business goals.
* Collaborate with insurance business and technical teams to produce requirements and process documents.
* Support effort estimation for software configuration.
* Coordinate with product management to share feedback and enhance core features.
* Assist in planning user acceptance testing.
* Advise on scope, schedule, and objectives trade-offs.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, partners, and customers.
* Build relationships ensuring cross-functional project alignment.
* Participate in Guidewire events as London Market SME.
Required Skills & Experience
* 12+ years in P&C insurance, with 5+ years in IT/software implementation within the London Market, Lloyd’s, or company markets.
* Experience with delegated authority systems for coverholder reporting or data standardization.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and research skills.
* Ability to identify out-of-scope requirements.
* Consulting and leadership skills with deep P&C industry knowledge.
* Experience with requirements gathering, functional specifications, and UAT in software projects.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies, object-oriented design, and databases.
* Knowledge of change management concepts.
* Excellent documentation and facilitation skills.
* Subject matter expertise in Guidewire’s implementation methodology.
* Ability to influence decisions and ensure alignment with standards and best practices.
* Mentorship skills for project teams.
