General Foreman Required!!!
Location: MERIDIAN WATERS, N18 3QQ
Working Hours: Mon - Fri 9.5 hrs per day (Start Time - 7am)
Pay Rate: £30 ph / CIS
The General Foreman will manage and coordinate all site-based construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery in line with Vinci Construction’s standards, project programme, and client expectations. You will lead a team of operatives and subcontractors, supporting the site and project managers in executing works effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise site operations and workforce, including direct labour and subcontractors.

Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across all site activities.
*
Coordinate and sequence work to align with project programme and milestones.
*
Monitor and report progress against programme to senior management.
*
Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to RAMS.
*
Liaise with site engineers, managers, and commercial teams on resource and material requirements.
*
Maintain site diaries, records, and ensure proper documentation of all site activities.
*
Enforce quality assurance and control measures, ensuring workmanship meets specification.
*
Assist in problem-solving, technical queries, and site instructions in collaboration with engineers.
*
Promote Vinci's values in safety, sustainability, and innovation on site.
Qualifications & Experience:
*
Proven experience in a foreman or supervisory role within construction (Civils, Building, Infrastructure).
*
SMSTS or SSSTS certified (mandatory).
*
CSCS card (Gold Supervisor or above preferred).
*
First Aid at Work certificate (preferred).
*
Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and health & safety legislation.
*
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
*
Leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*
IT-literate – experience with site-based reporting tools desirable.
Desirable Attributes:
*
Experience working on major infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
*
Familiarity with Vinci procedures and values (if previously employed or subcontracted).
*
Ability to mentor apprentices or junior staff.
*
Proactive problem-solving mindset
