TheLogisticsSpecialistwill support thelogistic department,tocarry out the logistical movementsof materials/goodscoming into the supply chain(Manufacturing)and the loading out of completedproducts (Projects).
We are a Manufacturing and Project driven Business,thereforeideally the candidate will have experienced in either one or both fields.
The role also entails preparing customs documents, to present to our broker for declaration (import and export)and audit checks to ensure compliance.

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Assistingdevelopment of Project Logistics Plan (Shipment lookahead, risks, strategy).
2. Coordinating and leading regular shipment rhythms
3. Optimizing planning to reduce shipment volume, increaseconsolidationand reduce freight spend
4. Coordinating with interfacing roles in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Projects & Materials.
5. Supporting monthly cost feedback on Logistics spend (Inbound & Outbound).
6. Customer point of contact on all Project Logistics related matters.
7. Verifying or completing import & export documentation, records & registersin accordance withlocal customs compliance requirements.
8. Compliantly moving goods, whilst adhering to all Baker Hughes policies, International Trade compliance, HMRC and Customs regulations always.
9. Supporting the Logistics lead in Loadouts, arranging Kick-off meetings, aligning all parties, controlling the flow ofinformationand enabling collaboration throughout the process to successfully loadout projects on time.
10. Always ensure carrier compliance.
11. Joining andparticipatingin all Logistic meetings.
12. Requestingtransportquotes
13. Sourcing the most cost effective and efficient logistic solution to the transportation request.
14. Completing end to endlogistics
15. Responsible foradmin and audits of completed shipments

To be successful in this role, you should have:
16. have a good understanding of Incoterms and strong knowledge ofinternationallogistics.
17. Preferred understanding Duties and Tariffs.
18. Experience in Supply Chain or Procurement (added advantage)
19. Goodproblem-solving skills, sound judgment,initiativeand creativity.
20. Individual must be a self-starter, creative and clear thinker.
21. Advanced Microsoft computer skills, excelspreadsheets etc.
22. Training will be given with Logistic systems.
23. Have a permanent work permit in UK
