An exciting opportunity has risen to be part of the Fire Control Team for Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service.
We are advertising for the roles of Watch and Crew Manager within Fire Control.
Applicants are welcome from current, substantive Firefighter (Control) internally or external Firefighter (Control) candidates from other FRS’s, seeking a promotion opportunity. This is extended to competent Crew Manager (Control) positions from other FRS’s who may wish to transfer to Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.
About Us
Based at our Headquarters in Leamington Spa, you’ll be joining our established team, working on a flexible shift pattern.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the knowledge, skills and experience required to lead a Team. As you’ll be the first point of contact to emergency callers dialling 999 for Fire and Rescue, it’s important that you can deliver a high standard of customer care to manage customer and Service expectations.
You’ll need to be able to provide a high quality, professional service by using clear communication, taking ownership of enquiries and finding solutions. You’ll need to be able to work dynamically in a high-pressured situation with good analytic/problem solving skills.
As a Crew/Watch Manager you will provide Leadership, supervision and development to support team members in performing their roles competently. You’ll actively manage reporting staff to establish and maintain effective working relationships - promoting a culture of support, excellence and continuous improvement.
Candidates will need to demonstrate their professional competence and leadership behaviours as defined in the
NFCC Leadership Framework and Core Code of Ethics.
