Overview
Electrical Install Manager – Location: Leeds (office and field based). Contract: Full-time, permanent.
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Install Manager to join a growing organisation delivering renewable energy and retrofit projects across Northern England. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge who can lead teams, ensure compliance and drive high standards across a range of electrical installations.
The Role
Electrical Install Manager
You’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing all electrical installation work across multiple retrofit and renewable energy projects. The role includes consumer units, wiring, controls, lighting, and the integration of renewable systems such as air source heat pumps and solar PV. You’ll coordinate engineers and subcontractors, inspect and sign off works, and ensure everything is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
Responsibilities
* Manage all electrical installations across domestic retrofit projects, including controls, wiring and lighting
* Oversee the electrical integration of renewable heating and solar PV systems
* Ensure full compliance with BS 7671, building regulations, and PAS 2035
* Carry out site inspections, quality audits and commissioning sign-offs
* Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and subcontractors
* Plan and coordinate workloads and resources across multiple sites
* Mentor and develop your team, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
* Work closely with other technical disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery
Skills and Experience
* Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
* Testing and Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent)
* ECS or CSCS card
* Proven experience supervising or managing electrical installation projects
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls and compliance
* Experience with air source heat pumps and solar PV
* Knowledge of PAS 2035 standards and retrofit compliance
* City & Guilds or equivalent certification in renewable technologies
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures, RAMS, and site management
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence
