If so, we have the role for you!We are working with a Primary School in Southwark that are requiring a Teaching Assistant to support one of their Year 6 students on a 1:1 basis. The child you will be supporting needs close support to help keep him engaged within lessons as they are working at a lower level.As a Teaching Assistant, you will need to be confident working with the class teacher to help manage his behaviour within and outside of the classroom, so previous experience supporting children with Learning Difficulties and/or challenging behaviours would be very desirable.This role is to start ASAP on a full-time basis, until the end of the academic year in July 2025.What the school are looking for in their Teaching Assistants: Experience supporting children within a Nursery or School setting.
Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is very desirable.
Confident working 1:1 and within small groups of children
Be able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
