Position: Trading Director - Pork Division
Sofina Foods is seeking an ambitious, strategic Trading Director to lead our pork processing division’s trading and brokering activities. This role involves more than market execution; you will be the primary negotiator and broker of high-value contracts, shaping sourcing, pricing, risk management, and supplier partnerships that provide our competitive advantage. Leveraging your expertise in meat trading and understanding of international markets, you will open new channels, mitigate risks, and seize real-time opportunities. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Logistics, reporting directly to the CCO, with potential to expand your scope over time.
1. Negotiate and broker high-value pork trading contracts domestically and internationally, securing optimal terms, pricing, and volume commitments.
2. Develop and execute trading strategies for pork products—covering sourcing, pricing, risk mitigation, and contract structuring—to meet margin, volume, and growth targets.
3. Analyze and forecast global meat-market dynamics, regulatory changes, and currency exposures; build agile financial models to inform trading decisions.
4. Cultivate supplier partnerships to optimize supply chain efficiency, secure emerging market channels, and broker mutually beneficial agreements.
5. Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Logistics to ensure inventory, production, and delivery objectives are aligned and met.
6. Define, track, and report KPIs such as trade margins, volume throughput, and contract performance, providing strategic insights to senior management.
