Monday-Friday Days (7am-3pm)
£48,000 + Overtime

Our client is an established food manufacturer, part of a larger global group, with multiple sites worldwide. Due to growth & CI Projects at the site, they are looking for a new maintenance engineer to join their production & packaging team.
Role & Responsibilities
* Carry out planned, reactive maintenance and safety checks on all high-speed food production lines, packaging machinery, conveyors, metal detectors, labellers, baggers, checkweighers, PLCs, control panels, robotics, depositors
* Electrical & mechanical fault finding, repairs, stripdowns & overhauls
* Working on motors, gearboxes, VSDs, inverters, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, drives, bearings
* Improving plant availability, reliability and continuous improvement work
* Monitor contractors on site, ordering spares & parts
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
* Ideally have completed a recognised apprenticeship
* HNC / HND qualified in Engineering
* Electrical & mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
* Previously have dealt with industrial processing & equipment and manufacturing systems
* Must have worked in a similar food manufacturing or FMCG environment
* Knowledge of electrical safety isolation procedures would be beneficial
* Must have worked on motors, sensors, inverters, gearboxes, VSDs, pneumatics, drives
* Experience of using SAP would be beneficial
* Advantageous if worked with PLC systems
* Any experience of working in an ATEX / CompEX environment would be great
