Contract: Permanent, full time (35 hours over 5 days)
Location: Ryemarket, Stourbridge
Our Stourbridge shop offers a variety of items, including clothing, books, toys, household goods, soft furnishings, new goods, greetings cards, pre-loved furniture, making it a true treasure trove for shoppers.
Join us as a Shop Manager where our shops are vibrant hubs supporting our mission to care for animals in need.
More about the role
Working with the Assistant Manager, you will recruit, train, and support volunteers to ensure smooth shop operations. You will promote our cause to increase volunteer sign-ups and donations, oversee daily activities, support visual merchandising, and plan strategies to grow our stock and sales.
Using your retail management experience, you will help the store thrive within the community. Being local with strong connections and ideas on customer engagement is ideal. Your organization and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. The shop operates Monday to Saturday, 09:00-17:00, with potential weekly schedule adjustments based on business needs.
About you
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
* Commercial awareness to deliver sales
* Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
* Good IT skills and basic finance understanding
Desirable:
* Full driving license
* Experience working with volunteers
* Fundraising experience
