Overview

Job Title: Senior Employee Benefits Administrator

Ref: SHA 1000228215565117

Pay rate: £15.92 per hour PAYE

Role length: Anticipated 9 months

Working arrangements: Hybrid role – 2 days per week in the office


The role

We are seeking an efficient and experienced Senior Employee Benefits Administrator to provide professional employee benefits administration. In order to carry out this role, you must have a working knowledge of employee benefit regulations, legislation and current best practice and be proficient in data.


Key responsibilities

* Deliver, enhance and maintain efficient employee benefits administration, ensuring accurate member data to reduce risk in line with policies, procedures and regulations
* Act as the first point of contact for escalated benefits queries; resolve issues professionally and accurately, maintaining team mailboxes and supporting wider reward inboxes as needed
* Provide clear, expert guidance to managers and colleagues to drive excellent service and ensure compliance with policy and legislation
* Build strong relationships with third-party providers and internal teams (e.g. Payroll, Finance, Comms); address service shortfalls and escalate when necessary
* Maintain accurate records and perform monthly reconciliations across SAP, payroll, and provider systems to ensure compliance and minimise risk
* Support annual benefits enrolment, producing reports and audit trails to meet scheme and legal requirements
* Support the delivery and administration of effective and inclusive communication and promotion activities; improve access to information to boost awareness and take-up of benefits and support services
* Respond constructively to complaints and service issues, resolving promptly or escalating appropriately, keeping stakeholders informed throughout
* Coordinate death-in-service claims, producing meeting packs and minutes to support decisions aligned with legal, policy, and scheme requirements
* Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required


What the client is looking for

* Literacy and numeracy equivalent to passes in GCSE English and Maths
* NVQ2 in relevant area (e.g. business administration, customer service)
* Proficient in data
* Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
* Working knowledge of employee benefit regulations, legislation and current best practice
* Some experience of producing reports and analysing large data sets in Microsoft Excel
* Some experience of resolving problems
* Some experience of mailbox/ query management and dealing with escalated queries
* Good IT skills
