Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Sheffield
Are you ready to inspire, support, and make a real difference in the classroom?
We’re working with a welcoming school in Doncaster that’s on the lookout for a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a varied role, supporting pupils across the curriculum — with planning already prepared — and playing a key part in helping learners, many of whom speak English as an additional language, to thrive.
No two days will be the same — and that’s exactly how you like it. You’ll be confident leading full classes and small-group interventions, adaptable to changing needs, and always ready to bring warmth, creativity, and care into every interaction.

What we’re looking for:
✅ A good standard of education (GCSEs in English & Maths at Grade C/5 or above, or relevant experience)
✅ HLTA qualification or equivalent (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning)
✅ Experience delivering lessons and interventions in a primary setting
✅ Someone who brings high expectations, great energy, and genuine enthusiasm
✅ Excellent team spirit and strong communication skills
✅ A calm, positive presence with a good sense of humour

This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about making learning inclusive, engaging, and fun — and who’s ready to bring out the best in every child.
