School Business Manager / Senior Administrator – Primary School (Bradford)
Location: Bradford
Start Date: 5th January 2026 (handover period)
Hours: 24 hours per week over 4 days
Contract: Full Maternity Cover (starting full role in February)
Are you an experienced and highly organised administrator looking for a rewarding role in education? A weing and well-regarded primary school in Bradford is seeking a School Business Manager or Senior Administrator to join their team for a maternity cover contract.
About the Role:This is a key leadership position within the school, responsible for overseeing the administrative, financial, and operational functions. The successful candidate will begin with a handover period in January, before taking on full responsibilities from February.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing school finances, budgets, and procurement
2. Overseeing HR processes and staff records
3. Coordinating health & safety andpliance requirements
4. Supporting the Headteacher with strategic planning and reporting
5. Leading the office team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements:
6. Experience in school administration or business management, desired but not essential
7. Strong financial and organisational skills
8. Excellentmunication and leadership abilities
9. Familiarity with school systems and procedures (SIMS, FMS, etc. desirable)
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy school environment
